Dell is one of the most renowned brands in the world when it comes to laptops, desktops and other electronic devices. Unfortunately, sometimes Dell users experience problems such as not receiving a DisplayPort (DP) signal from their device. This can be caused by several issues, like an incorrect connection, a faulty cable or even a problem with the video card.
Before trying any of the steps below, make sure that your DisplayPort cable is properly connected to your device and the display. Also, check if there are any driver updates available for your video card.
What is DP Signal
A DisplayPort signal is an audio/video connection. It provides high-definition data transmission and can be used to connect a computer to a monitor or other video device. Some Dell devices may have a built-in DisplayPort port while others may require an adapter in order to use this type of connection.
